Anyone else hate the round headlights?

I love them on the older Porsches, but I hate the new round lights on the 997's

looks better IMO, should of never gone the route they did. The 996 will now always be the odd ball in the family lineage as well

Since a 911 is always kind of retro in some respects, i think what they did with the lights is a break in the evolutionary chain: a step backward and not for the better.

When the 996 came out, all you read was how much EVERYONE hated not have round lights, it took some time for most people to grow into them. Now that they are gone, people will miss them, they will grow on ya though

Loved 'em on the 993.
Not too impressed on the 997.

I think they fit the modern "retro" look on the 997 myself. It's a highly subjective area in my opinion. You like them or you don't......

In total agreement.

Looking forward to seeing nicely modded 997s. A 997 will always look better than a 996 given equal levels of modification.

Being a 993 owner, I never could warm up to the more contemporary lights of the 996. Glad to have the round lenses back.

I'm not a big fan of the 997 front either, there was one following me to sebring this weekend and the **** looked like a vw beetle, no offense to any 997 owners. the 02 and up 996's just look more aggressive to me.
