That's in Monte Carlo? I've never been. Looks like a beautiful hotel -- it's also a casino? I may need to call my travel agent.

You should also check out the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel. It right below the Hotel Paris, it has its own casino (Sun Casino) and the hotel overlooks the waters edge. The ocean view rooms have good sized balconies with a couple of reclining pool chairs.

Sweet. I've been in the vicinity on the Cote d'Azur, but I never ventured into Monte Carlo because, frankly, I thought it would be a little too bling/garish for my tastes. Frome these pictures, it looks beautiful with an understated elegance. Although I'm sure there is plenty of personal bling.
Monte Carlo is good for about 2 nights of a european vacation. World class Bling and cars (more Ferraris per capita, in the entire world) galore. I would recommend spending some time in the Amalfi coast region of Italy. Great food, great wine. purple orange juice (the real color), lemons bigger than your head, sweet mozzeralla and friendly people that really love Americans, beautiful towns to stay in like Postitano, Isle of Capri (my favorite). Also there are some other great towns on the French Coast like Cannes, Antibes (Nice is a little nasty for me). The French are a little nicer in the south. Lake Como area is overated with a bunch of stiff Americans at the Villa d'este(I was there for lunch ,beautiful but stiff). Anyone who wants to know more about the beach towns of France or Italy just e mail me, thanks Ritchie.

Isle of Capri (my favorite).
I stayed there for 5 nights a few years ago. My wife and I loved it I am trying to go back this spring or summer, but this time I think I am going to stay in their other hotel. It's called something like La Scantnella, I walked past it and loved it. It is more intimate than the Quissi. But I do recommend if it is your first time in Capri stay at the Quissana. A great website is www.caprionline.com
Yeah, I went to the Gran Prix a few years ago and the town goes absolutely nuts! Down the road a couple miles from the casino is one of the best nightclubs in the world - Jimmy Z's.
No joke - I bought 2 Bacardi Cokes and a Heineken and it was $130.
