Stay at the hotel Metropole. Grand Prix track right under it and Joel Robuchon restaurant is in it to boot.

Regards

My wife in I stayed in the Hotel de Paris for 4 nights this past November. It was amazing. The cars parked out front were incredible. The casino next door wass a real drag though. 20 euros to get in and very hum-drum as far as entertainment value is concerned.

Perhaps the coolest part of Monte Carlo was looking at the ships in the marina. There were several that must have been 30 yards across the *** end.

Does anyone know if the F1 course runs past the Hotel de Paris? Out the back side of the hotel and casino is a hair pin turned that reminded me of the famous hair pin I've seen on TV watching F1.

yes the race goes around the hotel, under the tunnel of the Monte Carlo Grand Hotel, by the marina, and down some main streeet where there is a Ferrari Shop. I have never been there for the Grand Prix (packages are overpriced). I am lucky enough that our swimwear fabric trade show used to be there but has now moved to Cannes( a much more fun town). Anyone going to Monte Carlo- 2 days tops and then go somewhere else along the Riveria.
