The ultimate suspension/steering and handling setup with stock dampers...
I have stock ROW suspension, the most camber I can get on it, and a little opened toe at the front.
If I put power out of the equation, the feeling is very good. Pretty sharp turn and good grip. Body roll is not much, but I would like it more flat. However, I'm sure a set of sways will cure this.
I enjoy driving it into the twisties, I just have to remember to not go full boost
....in fact, if I factor in the power and the RWD without LSD, well, it really needs some coilovers then.

I am in this dilemma right now. I have had H&R springs with my stock struts/shocks for almost 20k miles. So, I can either pick up a set of KW CO's or some friends have advised to stick with the stock suspension for now and just do H&R f and r sway bars and rear toe links. This is a street vehicle and I MAY do one or two DE's per year. So obviously will also do an alignment after install of these items.
Would you say my OE shocks/struts are shot and just get some Bilstein Sport Shocks and the set up or go straight coilovers?

What improvements did it make? I do have a powerful lust for Motons but it is just not an option for me. I have no intentions on trying to make the stock suspension handle like motons. Just better than stock. I think that I could use a stock suspension setup on the track with a good alignment and sway bars and the car not do better than many cars still. After all I am not trying to win a lemans with this setup. Just have some fun. A 1/2" drop is manageable IMHO. Still have the ROW springs? Did the stock dampers dampen enough with these springs?
The ROW springs are HARSH. I gave them away to a friend. If I was you, I'd look for a used set of mid range coil overs. I'm sure if you contacted someone like Alex @ Sharkworks, he would reguliarily have people upgrading from mid to high end suspensions. I used to have JIC CROSS and sold them for $1000. That's not much more than ROW springs.
I saw your link and thought you might like be able to help guide me in the right direction with my 996 TT. I recently installed some H&R springs on my '03 996 TT and my TT is now a full inch lower, and I have to tell you my car looks great. A friend who use to work at the local Porsche dealer told me that I now need to add some adjustable rear toe links ? or adjustable rear control arms ? because if I don't the inside of my rear tires will wear out quickly ?
Any input, advice or recommendations ?

This is the simple and safe solution if you want to improve handling without spending tons of money (and it even comes with better motor mounts). Porsche spent more time and money designing it as a bolt on for the car so you'll know everything will work. Once you go aftermarket (which is not a bad thing) you will spend more money to get it "right".

Went to Grattan Raceway this past weekend with the Lotus club. Had a blast but lost a lot of time in the back section due to understeer. Other than that, car was great. Some serious fast cars there this past weekend. It was the last really nice weekend of the year and everyone brought their toys for the last hurah.
I've been reading about changing to the GT2 rear sway bar while keeping the stock front to get rid of the understeer. I also want to keep the stock ride height since I live off a dirt road (I know, how dare I). Other option I am considering is the GMG bars. I have yet to see if someone has been happy with just the rear GT2 bar. Additionally, want to confirm that I can keep the stock end links with the GT2 bar. Anyone with this experience?

I recently ran a low 1.23 at Streets of Willow bowl config with stock 996TT shocks and street tires, using these swaybars, that's a similar laptime to what a 997 GT3 does with a good driver.
