Need to raise my dead spoiler

Any help on how to raise my dead spoiler? It is stuck in the down position and I have a working hydraulic unit I need to install. I need to have the spoiler raised so I can get it off the car. I just need to figure out how to get it in the up position.

Thanks

Not to sure but I would think you can unbolt the piston from the deck lid and twist the piston to unlock the spoiler.

Thanks seems like and idea but not sure there will be enough space to get a grip on it and twist. I will have to see...

Its a crazy move. I've done it.
You can yank the wing up against the spring. Put a wadded up towel/blanket in thereto give you an inch or two.
When you loosen it with the tool, it'll retract with gusto. Hang onto the wing so it doesnt jump around when that cylinder sucks back in.
Good luck. I hate doing this...
