Bay Area: 4-wheel DYNO recommendation?

I want to see how much power my CTT is putting out.

Can anyone recommend a good 4-wheel dyno in the Bay Area to go to?

Also, is there something with the PSM that I have to do beforehand?

Thanks,
Patrick

stay away from AWD dyno's, disconnect the drive shaft to the front.

(assuming you can do that on the CTT like you can tt's)

Racers group is in your area, i believe they do dyno service.

Mustang 4wd dyno is best for our cars.

check with http://www.streetwerke.com

This is the same dyno that GIAC uses.

Heya Patrick we already tried doing this with a modded Pepper TT... stay away from any Bay Area ones... even the Mustang Dyno. It has to be calibrated properly and even though there are two places locally I would highly suggest heading down to GIAC to do that.

The issue is the mechanical link between the front and rear rollers. Any Mustang dyno that is AWD will be safe. I have dynoed all sorts of cars on my dynos with zero issues .

The two places here in the Bay Area that have them don't know how to calibrate them... Not sure if they paid the full 100k Hence I am saying there's nowhere in the Bay Area and just Garrett's place down south.

Do not fear the Mustang AWD chassis dyno.

Check out our video page. We have footage of a Cayenne TT dyno run.

Guys just so you understand- I said the Mustang dyno IS the dyno of choice for our cars. Just stay away from the Bay Area ones since the operators don't have them figured out yet in terms of calibration- they think they do but they don't) and hence go down to the nearest one which is GIAC's....

The mechanical link is key... Stay away from NON-Mustang dynos since those are calibrated via software and just the slightest margin of error and you'll get a blown diff like I did 3 years ago...

Or of course if you like Patrick you can dyno your car in Kansas or at AWE if you don't mind the drive

Just go to Streetwerke in Palo Alto, the Mustang tech just finished final setup and calibrating it last week. I'm putting my car on the rollers sometime in the next two weeks, hopefully before I sell it.

Actually Mustang will calibrate all the dynos before they leave then load the software once the dyno is installed. The rest is as simple as entering HP @50 and the weight. Nothing more to calibrate.

Stephen do you think its fair to compair dyno runs from the same type of mustang dyno in different locations?

I don't think so, I believe a stock car should always be run on every dyno to get the baseline, then establish drivetrain loss based on the reading. Might wanna call Streetwerke and ask what they think though...
