Durametric logging-- please advise

I finally had the time to take her out and do some data logging. Unfortunately, I screwed up and overwrote the 2-3-4 and 3-4 gear pulls. I'm posting just the in boost sections of the logs while driving in traffic. Please give me an opinion of my afr's and whether Im logging too much info and therefore have slow readings. The column are : Time, rpm, mass air flow, ign angle, bank1 lambda, bank2 lambda, boost pressure

Thanks
Scott

Save As -> PDF

Why waste anyone's time with logs in traffic? They are useless. Wait until you have something worth looking at to upload.

you need to log rpm , load , ignition angle , actual lamda sensing bank1 and bank 2.

and like said above... why waste your time in traffic ? you need to do a third gear pull all the way from 2000 rpms to redline to get the info you need.

logs in traffic are useless

He's referring to UNVYMY996's avatar, not yours. You'll figure it out.

When I log data, I record the following:
Time, RPM, Engine load, MAF, Intake air temp, Injection time, OS lambda1&2, Boost pressure, Setpoint boost

You can compute injector duty cycle as: Injector time * RPM /1200 the answer is in %. This gives you a measure of how well your fueling is keeping up.

Your numbers posted so far seem reasonable. Please tell us what mods, if any, your car has when you post the next set of logs.

Jon

Looks like a normal flash, AFRs good, no indications of knock activity.

any ideas why does the ign time/advance drop into the teens? I looked at another members log a few weeks ago and ign time was in the low 30's under boost.

Earl3, what gives the impression its flashed? I usually see .7-.8 bar boost with an occasional spike to .9. I thought thats stock boost. I do see a higher revlimiter than 6750, but I thought that the engine spins faster than the tachs reaction time.

Thanks
Scott

Scott,
I've never seen ignition angles in the 30s under substaintial boost -which log were you looking at?

Disregard on the increased boost comment, your ambient pressure was around 1.1 bar (higher than I'm used to ) so you gauge pressure is around 0.7-0.8 bar.

The car is regular tt with tubi exhaust and BMC filter.

Yeah disregard that the exhaust is probably giving you a touch more boost than an otherwise stock car, IIRC the stock rev limit is at 6750.
