Full reboot

I put a new battery in the other day. In the process the power was cut to the computer. The beast is back!!!!!! The car runs completely different, better, way better.....is this normal. How often should I reboot. I think maby every other month.

Hmm. Your car was probably in limp mode for some reason. You may want to have the computer read to see if any codes are on it.

Probably will come back if whatever did it isn't fixed.

I didn't have any codes. I have a code reader so I was able to check. Still had full boost, feels like I have another 80 hp.

Interesting! Wonder what it was. Rebooting is not normal for more power...

A buddy of mine that was on a race team told me that they always rebooted before a race.

Granted the car will "learn" about driving and fuel, unless there is a problem, I don't think a reboot would do much. Maybe you had some bad gas or lower octane and it learned to pull timing?

That's possible. I would like to have someone else try it and see if there is a difference. Just have your codes ready to activate the audio.

What kind of battery was it. Maybe we all need to replace ours.
