After 9 years and 45,000 miles I still love this car!
I have never had a car more than 3 years but I bought the RED BEAST brand new and still have her. I don't see myself ever getting rid of this car.(God willing and the creek don't rise)
In my smallish town she still turns heads and can outrun just about anything I run into. It is fun to take to the track, but still works as a daily driver.
Back in 2002 when I decided to buy one I couldn't find a dealer that had one. My local dealer said he could get me one in two years! Yeah right, I am way too impatient for that. I started calling every dealership in a 5 state radius and found the Cincy dealer. I asked about the 996 turbo and he said we are unloading a Guards Red off the truck right now. I said SOLD!
I remember my friend flying us down to pick up the car and the fun drive from Cincy back to Grand Rapids. The beginning of quite alot of good times and bad times in the life of this car!
There are few things that bring excitement and joy like buying a new car. My wedding day and the birth of my children definitely rank way above a new car but it sure is a fun day to pick up a new car.
I just bought a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V and that was a great day, love that car too!
Anyhow I will quit rambling now.
Porsche there is no substitute!

I've only had my TT for a little over a year, but I have had my 964 for almost 12 years now. I still love that car. It always puts a grin on my face when I walk in the garage and a huge smile when I get behind the wheel. I can only imagine the TT will be the same.
buddy - I'm very happy for you. After all those years, I think everybody wants to have that.
Mine still brings a smile to my face everyday. 2 1/2 years & 23,000 miles later, I'm still amazed by it. I hope in 6 years I still have that feeling. Well done.

6 years for me, I consider it a family fixture now and although I may get a third car again, I dont see this car going anywhere soon... been a love/hate relationship but we are definately in the love zone at the moment with E85. Actually it might be deviant sex it runs so good now,,,

Hey Buddy,
Same here - I've had 6 911's and never kept one over 3 years, except this one. Purchased it new in '02 like you and still love it after 9 years. I can remember the first 100 mile drive home from the dealer - I was comparing the cornering speed on the back roads to my 993TT.
In fact, I just got it out this week for another season and nothing has changed - still really enjoying it!

It's a great feeling. Had my C4S for 6 years now and even though I didn't drive it for the past 2, I couldn't bring myself to sell it. I'm in the process of getting her ready for this summer. 1st time driving it a few weeks back and it put a smile on my face like you wouldn't believe. This is the longest I've ever owned a car. I could only imagine if I had a Turbo.
