open hood

Hello every body

I got my self a flood 996 turbo , fixed every thing just need to program the secuirty modeul under the seat , i used to open the hood usinf the emergency wire , this wire is not working , i guess its beoken , anyway i need to change the battery to be able to program the security computer under the seat , is there any way i can open the hood other and the emegency wire and the normal button coz its not working because of the security computer ???


Can i reach a cable from the wheel side ??

There is a small nub that pulls out by the fuse panel. this nub is a positive termainal. you can energize this with a charger and then use the butten

use your door latch on the car side as your negitive terminal.

There is a cable hidden under the right wheel well liner in the forward section... The picture show the cable front the front with the bumper cover removed...

I had to remove my right front wheel liner to grab mine, previous Owner must have had to use it since it was tucked over some other lines??

Strange, mine too was taped all the way ???? Never easy with Porsches
