Change it. no sweat if you are replacing the flywheel its right there. I am not sure but the gt3 rms was a better seal.

Because i have no history of it being replaced i just ordered one to be on the safe side. I should get everything by this weekend and i can bolt the transaxle back up to the motor.

Hey I live in Melbourne as well. I am looking for a 996tt. Would you mind meeting for a cup of coffee and letting me pick your brain one afternoon?

I got more work done on the car. New RMS, LUK DMFW, ACT HD clutch. I also removed the flex intake hose over the transaxle and finished it in hard piping.

I must say that i have always used ACT for every high HP car i've owned and they always perform well. ACT rates this clutch for 690ftlbs of torque.

Great price on LUK DMFW:

Best price for the ACT clutch with steet solid disk. The funny thing is you can find this on ACT site as of this week, i just checked; so i wonder if they are out:

Here it is. looks like they are making changes as they only go up to the 1998 993 turbo with this now, but they did provide me with the correct release bearing with my kit with this part number for some reason.

You'll be happy with it, so will your syncros with the unsprung disc.

After reading MANY post from others this configuration seemed the best. DMFW, solid disc and mild incread in PP clamping force.

GP2222 is infamous around these parts
That is some serious work. Very impressed.
Ballpark, how much has this all cost?

LOL..well truthfully i try and keep costs as low as possible by doing all the work myself and doing a lot of research before i do anything. labor is a LOT of the cost in many cases.

Ok, here is how she did today. I want to thank EPL for always being great to work with and very responsive when needed. Tony said she had more in her but i'm happy with the results. probably could have seen 590+ whp but did not feel like waiting for everything to cool down. The 585whp was the third pull done in a row within 5 minutes of each other.
