The IAT temps were around 150F and temp comp for fuel was kicking in making it hard to tune. our plan is to do finie tuning for the fuel with street pulls in the evening.

I'll need to get intercoolers soon here in Florida!
That is a definite. 911Tuning makes some nice ICs.

So we went to do some street tuning again and i was getting a shutter/miss everytime. Thinking it was timing being pulled, I added higher octane fuel and it kinda went away. I took it to the track and i ran a 11.7 at 124mph. I was still not happy because the car was bogging bad in every gear.

To make a long story short, I had spark blow out in my mind the whole time but could not believe the BKR7E plugs gapped at 0.026" would be having issues at 1.3 bar. I'm guessing the higher octane fuel cooled the cylinder temps enough to help the spark. I did have the hose from the FPR come off way in the begining of this project and could have fouled the plugs a little driving around town. The car ran fine out of boost and when not in the peak torque area of the power curve. I changed the spark plugs out to NGK Iridium BKR7EIX gapped at 0.025" and cleaned the MAF (with the correct stuff) just for peace of mind.

The reasults are great!! The car is stronger than it has ever been. From a roll i can hit the gas and the PSM instantly kicks in with a much stronger pull, the car never did that in the past. I have to drive it now with the PSM off if i want to have any fun.

I guess it'll get better when Tony from EPL finishes the tune like he wanted. I'm shooting for high 10s 1/4miles with these billet K16s and my homemade exhaust. I'll let you guys know if i make it......

At most, $5K at this point. I plan to spend about $600 more to fab up some 4.5" intercoolers.

yep, i agree now too. I'm working on something else now. Looking at the Bell cores, 3.5" and 4.5". I'll post up progress pics in a few weeks.

Looks like a fun project. I am planning to do something similar one day and I will use this as an education tool.

I need your opinion. i'm doing a clutch and flywheel replacement and wanted to know what you guys thought about doing the RMS while i'm at it. It's not really leaking and the area looks clean. The car has 85K miles on it and the seal brand is Kaco. everything look all original, even the clutch.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think you could replace them on without splitting the case.

Nah you can do it. Pop it out and tap it in. I personally would replace it. Or wait Til next clutch replacement.
