Can I come to the next Shoot out?
Cary,
great to hear about the project. I am suspecting you had a role it the suspension setup if memory serves. Would love to see it in Fontana but i have to work. how much does it weigh?
the carbon fiber is really awesome!
BTW, do you still have your black turbo? I remember an OC run about a year ago and I just fell in love with the handling setup you were working on.
regards,
geoff

As far as the weight... Loren asked that I don't say too much at this point because he still wants to trim some more before he says anything. I can tell you it'll never see 2200 lbs though and I can also tell you it'll never go over 2600 lbs... hows that for a sneaky answer ??
Loren is a pretty busy guy and not on the internet much I was showing him some of this thread and you guys really put a smile on his face ... he said to say thanks for all the super nice comments. He also said it is the easiest car he's ever driven and it's not even sorted out yet. And with it being as light as it is the HP is just crazy! The 28.5 X 15's help keep it on the ground though
Alan will you send him a set of ALL black wheels please??? I think it would look just nuts that way!
Now for the bad news: I'm back at my shop right now getting some spare parts for the car while the wrecker is taking the car back to the shop!!! Yes, the wrecker!!!!!! He's at California Speedway today shaking the car down ... it is a POC practice day and he past a 911SC in the slower run group so he'd be lined up for the up coming series of turns. He dives down and passes the guy under braking by a few car lengths then slows the car down a little extra because he had to go off line and when he turns in the 911SC guy decides to be a HERO (turning laps 10 seconds or more slower) and dive in because Loren's off line and take the turn back... this is a practice day mind you... and because this is concidered a POC day, Loren still isn't allowed to hit the guy because of the STUPID/STUPID rule known as the 13/13 rule so he is forced to put the car into the tire wall!!!!!!!!!.... only about $30,000 worth of damage!!!! So let me see... maybe next time I'm out there in my street car and I see a 962 I'll see if I can do something like that them <shaking my head>...... I have NO idea what was going thru that idiots mind ... came back out of no where with no clue. So, I'm back out to his shop with parts and hope the car will be back out there tomorrow..........

Unreal.

I would have hit him once I was back at the paddock.
...with the back of my hand.
