Question Which exhaust has the most exotic sound?

Heard the exhaust note from a Maserati Gran Turismo S today. I really like it. Which aftermarket exhaust I can get to have that exotic sound?

Exhausts for our car all have similar tones, the engine is what makes the sound. Some are louder, some quieter. The louder ones are usually the ones that sound more "exotic"

The Gt1 turbo engine will never sound like a GT or any F-car, or even Lamborghini

Our 996TT X-cellerator series exhausts have a very exotic sound and are available in both loud and quiet versions. IMO, both versions provide a unique, fantastic exotic sound that you will continue to enjoy for years...

Here are a couple of sound clips:

Quiet: http://www.speedtechexhausts.com/Spe....5%20video.wmv

A friend of mine has a exhaust from markskis 911tuning. That is by far the best sounding exhaust i have heard on any Porsche turbo.

I have a stock 2005 Turbo "S" and want to buy an exaust system, but very confused by all of the choices: Loud, quiet, racing, etc. I want it loud, but dont want my neighbors to hate me either. I plan to do the ECU Flash at the same time as the exhaust.

DMac,

Check out our 2.5 X-cellerator cross-flow exhaust. It's perfect for your stated objectives. I have the same criteria as you and use the 2.5 exclusively - I designed it for myself first, then offered it as a quiet model to the public. It's quiet by aftermarket exhaust standards, but certainly much louder than stock to give you a great sound while you drive. It's truly a perfect combination of civility, yet sportiness.

We can supply it bundled with an EPL flash - great flash and great system - I think you would be extremely pleased...

Best Regards,

John

Nice clips you guys are posting.

Well, that OakTown one I can do without. Sure makes me.. . 1/glad I retired from there 2/I CAN'T BELIEVE an officer would say those were legal 3/ Love how that couple takes off from the muffler shop.. throttle nailed.. weaving all over the street..and blowing through the stop sign at WOT. It sure makes me glad I'm not there any longer.

This gets rehashed so often...

Bottom line, the 996 turbo sounds like a vaccum cleaner compared to many N/A cars: Ferrari, etc.

That being said, the crossovers and a few high end units sound quite nice....say the EP2 loud as an example.

Crossovers are Markski, John's x cross, and the Switzer.

I have a Switzer, and love it, but I must say, event the best 996 turbo exhaust pales in comparison to say a 430 or 458....just the facts.

Jeff

I've got a Milltek exhaust on mine. Let me know if you ever want to hear it and I'll wake up the Turbo from hibernation.

Michael.
