Does RUF 550 Kit include Carrillo or other reinforced Rods ?
SubscribeI ask this because my tuner had raised my rev limiter to 7100 when flash my ecu. 7100 like ruf rev limiter on 550 kit for what i know.
Now some people say to me this could be bad for engine especially for stock rods and rods's bolts.
I'm a little worried because i don't want blew my motor.
Thanks for your input.

So the logic is "if RUF 550 goes to 7100 rpm without upgraded rods then 7100 in my motor should be safe"?
The issue is not simply hardware and rod strength...the devil is in the details and poor tuning can cause damage at stock RPM limits.
Upping the rpm limit will increase your risk, and leave less room for error.

Hi Ard , Yes i admit my logic is what you 've said , to know that RUF increase at 7100 without internal mods would make me more calm.
If one of the most famous Porsche Tuner make this , this must be safe.
I understand your explanation about relevance of details , you sai weel , but i'm not worried in this because i know my Tuner and he is very professional , he had Track experience and most important he is also dealer in the Porsche Official net.
So i never worried about "details" mods : ignition timing , AFR , boost regulation.. i'm sure he does all very weel and also i feel the car goes Fine.
I'm only worried about the new 7100 rev limiter becaus i always heard this can cause engine failure.
Sure I don't have in mind to spend all time i drive the car at the new redline , at today i hit 7100 RL for 4 times , one at top speed in 6th gear , 2 times in 3rd ger an one in 4th gear... i hope this will not cause damage.

Ruf 550 has stock internals, 590 kit has titanium connecting rods.

Thank you Johnselli , this was what in my knowledge..
So i really think that if RUF and also my Tuner sets my redline at 7100 , this must be because the engine go fine until 7100 .
Sure how i'm saying if you don't spend all time revving so high , but only occasionally.
I tested top end speed in 6th gear and at 7100 Rpm is 212 MpH on the gauge. Maybe 198-200 Mph real speed ...
Before with stock rev limiter was 202 MpH on the gauge.
