Thrust bearing, where is it located, where do I find a replacement?
Thrust bearing, where is it located, where do I find a replacement?
I managed to get in touch with a Porsche gearbox rebuild specialist, that finally gave me a diagnose of my whining problem that I have been whining about around forums for last few days ;-)
From what he said, my symptoms indicate that it is a classic pinion bearing, thrust bearing problem and that the needed part number is 99-052-16400.
Now my question is - where is this bearing located? I tried to check PET, googled and came up with nothing for that given part number.
Is there a typo in the part number or am I too stupid to find it?
Anyone? Thanks in advance!
