Any one painted their headlights?

Hey, i know that it is somewhat common on some other cars. So has anyone painted their headlights black or whatnot. I think it would look hot.

Eddie

also does any one have pictures of the headlights taken apart?

I have wanted to clear the clear headlight covers and paint them the bodycolor if it was something you could put on and take off easy. Have a photo of my car with red duct tape covering the lights for the track and it looks really sweet.

I have seen headlight covers made for a 360 Challenge Car for track use. I mean having the inside of the headlights painted.

Hmm possibly making some headlight covers for the 6speed members

I always paint my headlight covers black. Makes it more challenging to drive at night

I've seen them with the covers, but never the actual "metallic film" inside the lamps. If someone could devise a way to do so, I would be all over it.

Well i can do it on the 911, just as i did them on my lexus.

I want to possibly get a pair of headlights, so that i could possible make CF housing made instead of the chrome/polished look

here is an example of how my headlights look

I would just be happy with the "top" metallic film piece being painted the body color, not the inside. Can you quickly do one like that?

Paint the spray nozzle and the top film between the headlight and foglight.

Look on the headlights. Don't paint the "inside" of the lamp dishes, just paint the top metallic flim black.

Spivy, here is a quick drawing with MS Paint (no PS here at work), but you get the idea if you want to try and perfect it:
