Bizarre alarm experience
Bizarre alarm experience
Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this before. Last night, I parked the car in the garage around 10pm.
Left the doors unlocked and gradually the interior lights dimmed, but the lights in the instrument cluster stayed on.
I waited 5 minutes, but they were still on. Given that I am manual-less, I wasn't sure if this was expected behaviour, so I just locked the car, and that turned off all the lights.
Midnight comes around and I'm awakened by the car alarm going off. It was just sitting there, no movement in the house, nothing, just suddenly -BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEEP.
Electrical gremlin or something worth troubleshooting? I dont want it to happen when I'm away and have it drain the battery or annoy the neighbors.

I have exactly that problem....
It has happed to me at least 3 or 4 times...
My alarm keeps going off...
Now I'm thinking maybee a switch some where?? Hood door or engine??
Any one have this problem before??
