Close To Buying...Fuel Tank Size Question

I apologize in advance if this is a really stupid question that has been covered. I seem to be getting different answers. Getting close to pulling the trigger on a 2002 996TT. I've been digging around and what size fuel tank does this car really have? Is it 13 or 17 gallons? Also what kind of a highway cruising range could I expect? Would 300 miles be possible?

Range on a tank of gas is one of the very few things that aren't positive about these cars. I get about 240 miles between fill ups in mixed city/hwy driving.

How does she do out on the Interstate in 6th? I figure that the "around-town" figures would be pretty dismal as they are with my AMG. I maybe get 9 to 10 MPH around town. But on the Interstate I can do 350 miles before a fill...but it also has the 7-speed trans and 500+ HP. So one counters the other depending on the drive.

I don't think you can get 350 miles on a tank unless it's downhill all the way and you're not driving the car as you should . On the other hand, you should do much better than 10 mpg. I don't get near or below that except for the track. I usually average 15-18 mpg with mixed driving.
