2 tips: 1) Don't go. 2) if you do, keep your expectations low. These cars are notoriously difficult to launch and drive at the drag strip, despite the seemingly perfect rear weight design...try many techniques, ALL with PSM off.

I went an 11.8 @ 118 with a EVOMS Tune and Fabspeed Exhaust about 4 years ago. I was on 19's with the same tires.

As Mike said these cars are a pain to launch. My 10.08 was on a high 1.7 60ft and even then I was worried about crapping out drivetrain parts.

Honestly I just care about the trap speed. I just want to be faster than my last car which trapped 116mph. I'm at 3700ft elevation.

I'm surprised that this car would be hard to launch. I tried it for a quick pull on the street last night. Launched like a bullet.

With ECU, intake and exhaust, I went 11.6 @ 126...but that was at sea level on a cold, dry day. I was slip launching at 3500 rpm to take it easy on the car. Good luck.

Get a P-box and practice before going to a drag track. Like other said, keep your expectation lower. I say it will be lower than 120 unless you're a very good driver.

I try to stay grounded as far as expectation. The track where I live is terrible. And our elevation is quite high. So I just want to break into the 12's and trap higher than 116mph

Coming from a 7 yr. stream of 600 hp 1/4 AMG sedans, perhaps i'll take a break w/ the drag strip and focus on the beautiful canyons of Southern California.

HI,This works for me,,,PSM off,,bring RPMS to a steady sweet spot>3,500 to 4,000 Rpms,,,Then a steady release of the clutch AND as you start to move put start putting the pedal to the metal>all in one smooth action..When the clutch is all the way out you should have the pedal to the floor...You should lower your tire pressures,,maybe start off with about 5 pounds less in front and 10 lbs less in rear.....Practice,Practice until you find your sweet spot for the right RPM launch and your style...The better your 60 ft times the more that will compound for a better ET...Good Luck......
