Question OT: Maserati 3200 GT?

WAY OT...sorry didn't read the sticky before i had posted

Watched the movie "Underworld" the other evening starring Kate Beckinsdale and the Maserati 3200GT. Does anyone know much about this particular model? I know they didnt bring them to the US, but are any imports available at a reasonable price?

Thanks in Advance,
joe

Are you sure you are not confusing it for the Maserati Cambiocorsa?

Drove it ages ago. Yeah the F1 thing is kinda cool, the double clutching especially but the car was pretty hokey in my opinion. Back then I had a Jag XKR convertible which was a GT/lux boat. It seemed to be quicker and a much better ride. I wouldn't try one of these, there's plent of other cars in that range...

I saw one of the used late model coupes advertised in the 50's the other day. Made by the same team that developed the Ferrari 550 Maranello I heard.

I was in Sydney last week and saw three of these (all silver, but all different cars) in a day. They were bloody everywhere.

Back-end styling falls short for me. Never seen one State-side.

The Cambiocorsa is simply an updated version of the 3200GT. I heard it was much improved upon in the updating. Let us know what you think if you drive/ buy one.

London 996TT is infamous around these parts
4200 GT is the normally aspirated, higher CC replacement model of the 3200GT (4.2l n/a instead of 3.2l TT). It is available as a manual 6-sp or Cambiocorsa, which is Maserati's name for the paddle shift semi-auto gearbox called F1 on Ferraris.

One of my colleagues just bought a 3200GT and ran it on a 2 mile runway here in the UK, got a V-max of 154mph into a 20mph headwind, against a 996TT x50 which made 179mph. Pretty car though, and has 2 proper size rear seats, more of a GT car than b***ls out sports car like ours.
