Install Agency Power Ypipe / Problem with vacuum tube

Hi,

My 996TT is in the garage to install the switzer billets k16, AP High Flow Ypipe, AP big plenum and others parts.

The mechanic called me today because the stock vacuum tube is not compatible with the Agency Power Ypipe. The stock tube is short and the AP Ypipe vacuum input is larger than the stock Ypipe.

What can I do to adapt the stock vacuum?

Thanks,
VS

Honestly, if your mechanic does not know how adapt a vacuum tube he/she should not be installing your aftermarket parts...

No kidding, I didn't even know what a vaccuum tube was when I self-installed my agency power y pipe... alone.... in my driveway... in a couple of hours...

I remember I had to make one tube longer for it to reach where it needed to on the top.. it was really this simple. Took off the part that wasn't long enough, took it to the auto parts store, bought vacuum line in the same diameter (3/8" if I remember correctly) for 4 dollars, cut it long enough and clamped it in place. Also had to make a couple of plugs out of silicone covers for the meth ports.

I had to also rig the lines that went to the top of the DVs because there were two ports that merged at a check valve and I removed it all to install a single elbow where the Fpipe was and a blow off valve in the place of the DVs. Same process on that vacuum but the tubing was 1/4"

Thanks. Problem resolved with an adaptor.

However, I'm worried that the Y-pipe and big plenum compromising the car's performance.

Yesterday I read several reviews about installing these parts. Some argue that these parts increase horsepower and others say the big plenum and throttle bodies do nothing other than cause turbo lag and loss of mid-range power!

With these mods I expect that my car has about 600HP.

What is the best choise? Install or not install the big plenum?

Regards,
VS
