Test driving a 996TT

I have been a long time Porsche enthusiast (my last Porsche was an '84 Carerra). I would like to talk in person to someone that owns one and maybe take it out for a spin or at least get a ride in one. Can anyone recommend any clubs with 996TT owners in them? Or maybe a dealership that would let me take the car out for maybe an hour to really get a feel for the car? I know that this might be a weird request but I thought I would ask anyways. I live in the east bay area.
Thanks!

I would think any dealership would let you drive the car for an hour if they know you are serious. Most around here let you take a car home for an evening.

Your best bet is probably a dealership. Heck, I'd even try to find one at a somewhat "normal" dealership if you could...meaning at a non-Porsche dealership that got it on trade-in. That way they'll probably just let you show up, do the standard drivers license check, and let you head out with a salesman. Best wishes, and I hope you find the car to your liking!

Get with your local PCA club. Most likely an owner club member.
