911tuning vs Europipe Loud
It's not that we aren't fans of Europipe, but you said it yourself when you mentioned their's was overpriced with no weight savings. From that aspect alone it's almost a no brainer.
Then when you add in the positive comments about Markski's from all his satisfied customers ( i have his as well w/no cats) as well as the potential for high hp numbers, you can't go wrong...plus it sounds really good.

Europipe is a high quality exhaust. Made by hand per order. There is a client for every product and just because it is expensive does not mean it's bad.

EP is known for no (or as little as you can get, with a performance exhaust) drone. I've also read somewhere (here on 6SO? IDK) that the cats EP uses are a huge part of why their exhaust costs as much as it does. $700, $900, something like that, just in the cats alone? Overall, there's a reason that when used EP exhausts come up in the "for sale" section on Porsche forums, they're snatched up within minutes (and, oftentimes, for an amount equivalent if not higher than some other companies' exhausts brand-new).
EP, 911Tuning, Switzer, and Speedtech are my "short list" of choices once I swap out my stock exhaust next year after CPO runs out. It's nice to have so many solid choices!
EP is too expensive and doesn't offer any weight savings, plus Markski's setup is custom, gives the buyer choices, and costs less...and performs well.
Markski bud let me know of any specials as well, a demo one or otherwise... I may be interested in a 3" Xpipe one, the kind you recommended to me in the past...I still have the factory setup on my car and have not gone the modding route at this point in time...

With that said, drone usually has something to do with open exhausts... catless... full 3" etc etc... thus many exhausts use smaller diameter piping, higher cell count on cats, baffles vs. open mufflers.. etc etc... not saying one is better then other... but these are two different approaches.
We use louvered inner cores with some patented packing material to stuff the muffler... this works for us... most clients are happy... the only difference is the ID of the mufflers...
I agree with a member saying that EP uses some really expensive cats... a set of the cats cost more then some the exhausts for sale brand new...

not to hyjack this thread.. markski can you shoot me a PM on what set up you would build me for a 996 TIP car... want a nice exotic sound but not too loud and less drone... if possible..and a price $ thank u
Looking for some good sound clips of the 996 Europipe Loud exhaust and Markski's 3 inch race exhaust, both with 100 cell cats. My GT2 is on the way so this will be the first thing changed. So far issues:
Europipe is overpriced and offers no weight savings
What type of cats are used in the 911 race exhaust for longevity purposes?
What are hp gains without a tune for both?
What is the max hp these exhausts can be used with for tuned cars?
Plan on 600bhp max, but who knows once I get the mod virus.
I do like the Cargraphic too.
