Sounds like Todd is using the S Car Go unit?? If so yes, that is the same part our part replaces. The S Car Go has made slightly more HP, but is also more fragile!! Fred's iintake from S Car Go had a hole in it (I don't know what the final cause was with that) and threw debris into his turbo taking him out of competition... On the other hand others have had great success with the S Car Go so I do not want to take anything away from the product!! Basically, our unit is more durable and less expensive, and the S Car Go makes about 6 more HP and has the bling factor of CF!!

Un uh... Todd's not using CF. I'll let him post a pic some point... Again, it's just my opinion that CF in that area is a risk one doesn't need to take. I use the FVD one as it's the same diameter throughout, reasonably priced (heh) and is the only "full" solution that works for a Tiptronic (I tried 'em all). Plus Evan always hooks me up with lolipops.

No We have a different unit now and it is not Carbon or hoses. It is all aluminum. While we still have the SCarGo units available we now have the aluminum version to go with it.

FWIW I have never had an issue with my inlet pipes and have probably driven more than anyone else on the boards. One certainly could contest to harsher environments. Snow, ice, rain etc and they have not been a problem. Not to mention the motor has been out 4 times for various upgrades. I think it comes down to installer and protecting the hoses in the way you route them. A few inches could make a difference.
