disconnected battery. Now stereo says wait and express windows not working

My check engine light was on so I took it down to auto zone. They hooked it up to their diagnostic and the car put out two codes P0491 and P0492. The car was running fine no problems at all. I then disconnected the battery for half an hour. After reconnecting the battery I took it for a short drive. The good news is that the check engine light is off. The bad news is the stereo says "wait" and the express window up or down doesn't work. I checked all the fuses on the drivers side footwell and all is good. Any ideas as to what is going on???

for the windows: put each window thru it full range of motion up and down by holding the window switch down until the window goes down and then again till the window goes up.

as for the radio :you may need to enter the security code, which is usually in the owners manual

Thanks for the help. Got the windows working. Now I just need the code for the radio. Its not in the owners manual so I guess I'll have to call the dealer. I found this thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ng-stereo.html. which was helpful, but I can't get my radio to display the four**** signs so that I can try a code. Any idea of how to get it to display the **** astrick sign so I can try a code? Looks like are several to try.

With the radio on, hold the TP button down for ten seconds, then scroll with the left dial and get your model and serial numbers. Then go here for your code:

Oh, this might work only on early non MOST type radios, I'm not sure.

another post I found that might help others. I'm locked out again so I'll have to wait another hour! So frustrating! http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...adio-code-faq/

The techs at the dealership wrote my radio code on the sticker under the front hood.

What kind of radio do you have? If it's the PCM2/nav system then I believe the code can only be entered through the Porsche diagnostic tool which connects to the ECU.

Ok my stereo is a cdr-220. I called the dealer today to get the code. I tried about 9 codes that were posted on the above sites I linked to, but none of them worked. The code to unlock my stereo is 4671. I guess this can be one more code added to the list that may help someone else.
