Any possability of slower turbo spool as a result of less velocity due to the larger diameter?

Zippy, the headers only deliver the air. A bigger/smoother - less rstrictive header does so with less pressure drop. The choke down point on the turbo stays the same, so the air entering will reach the same velocity, actually a little higher because more high pressure air is there from a less restrictive header.

Have I explained this well? (I'm not sure)

Do you have a way to video your speedo when you go through the gears from a roll to 130 mph or start out in third and go to 130? We've been doing this on another forum instead of dyno tests and have been seeing 60 to 130 times comfortably under 8 seconds. The Ruf Yellow Bird broke 7 seconds and a highly modded 930 broke 6 seconds.

For reference, a CGT is about 7.4 seconds.

The headers have been made in 1-5/8" and 1-3/4" tube.

Ken,

You ought to consider wrapping or ceramic coating (better yet both) your headers. With the higher grade stainless steel being used and the extra thickness, corrosion really isn't a concern. You will notice the extra torque.

That would be interesting. Check this out with my Turbo R, 91 octane:

Turbo R 60 to 130

That's about the same as a CGT.
