Moreover speaking with my friend at GMG - in his opinion alligment/suspension setup on all US Gt2 was wrong as they have been set to higher ride height
This is a main reason people called them Widowmakers
Not really. They call them widow maker in Europe too! 480bhp, rear wheel drive only, no PSM, limited slip only and weight down to 1295kg = widow maker, not the ride height. Originally Posted by LCatGA

If you nail gt2 out of a corner a bit early - piece of cake in a turbo - with slow opposite lock - you can end up in dead trouble.Quote:

GT2 is called widow maker due to it's high rate of attrition and owners/buyers wrecking these cars because they could not control the power and deilvery of said power combined with the handling charecteristics and (as mentioned by termninator above, and yes the monikar is used in Europe and USA model units) lack of drivers aids such as stability control and suspension managment, none of which are available. The widow maker is considered to be the last of the pure "drivers" 911 with forced induction...it's due to the pure and brutal and very visceral nature of the window maker that the 977 GT2 have both PSM and PASM.Originally Posted by LCatGA
