Which water injection system?
HI,Excuse me here, but are you talking about meth here?? I have really never saw anything on just water injection for our cars??? I would imagine you would have to have a tuner to to a map for that to get the most out of it??
Aquamist HFS-3. It bases w/m flow off fuel flow and MAF/MAP values and includes fail-safes and a gauge to monitor pressure. I had a Labonte kit on my S4 and it worked well, but it was very basic and didn't have any fail safes or a gauge. But the S4 engine only cost 2 grand to replace
Aquamist...hands down. Spray water, meth or a mix. A few built in safeties and basically maintenance free, "just add water" (or meth, or a mix). I had an older HSF-1 and sprayed 100% Meth for 2 years on my 996 turbo. NO issues at all and picked up a tom of HP. You can spray enough just to cool the charge (no real retune needed) or spray 50/50 or 100% (new tune needed).

I agree with others. I have an Aquamist HSF-6, installed with a 50/50 water/meth tune by EPL.
Works great and is safe -- I say safe as I have beaten on my car hard at the track for 25+ track days since I had it installed, including running out of "juice" mid-session with no worries as my tune automatically pulls back on boost if it runs out of juice.
Prety inexpensive horsepower

Methanol is a fuel..if you use too much, it changes your A/F ratio (you wil need a tune). Water mist just cools off the charge a bit to help with detonation (resulting in timing retard), methanol also does this, but adds octane too.
water adds octane too. not as much as meth, but it does. it makes the fuel burn slower.
water is water. water is not a fuel, and thus CANNOT add octane. All the water mist does is cool off the cylinder/chamber to quench any 'hot spots" thus mitigating detonation.
Yes I know and understand that,thanks....Its the straight water only that I dont know about in regards to performance increase and tuning...
yeah it also makes the fuel burn slower, which I wrote on my previous post. what is the specialty of race fuels vs pump fuels? being more enduring that means burning slower.. it adds around 4% octane to what you use.
i gotta agree with my buddy here....
