Thumbs up HREs are on the car! Also repainted calipers

Here are a few pictures I took this morning with my new HRE 542R wheels on. I had been looking for this set for a LONG time and finally found one for sale locally. Also I painted my calipers which was quite a bit of work but worth it. The car finally looks the way I always wanted it to look. Let me know what you think!

not for the faint of heart. I couldnt remove the left rear so just painted it while on the car. Not ideal but it worked.

You can buy the lettering online. I got a set from Sweden for 10 bucks for 6. I put the letters on and then a few clear coats on top.

Thanks! I bought the lettering from a guy on ebay from Canada ~$12 for 8 stickers. I am going to Laguna Seca on Tuesday so hope they hold up!

I have a set of KW v3s. I had it at GT2 height but had to go up a bit with the 19" HREs because they were rubbing a bit. Moved up ~1/2 inch and all is OK.

Nice rims.. I have the same wheels but 18's that are just sitting in my garage lol. Is it me or should one of those wheels be on the other side of the car?

DARN! I think you are right! It looks to me like the rears are facing correctly but I need to swap the fronts, right?

The hottest rims circa 2006 are making a big comeback. The obvious attraction being the "turbo twist" look

Looks great! Good work

Thanks! See attached picture - it is rustoleum. The red which is a perfect match to the brembo color is funny enough called "ford red." They look great right now and I am really hoping they can handle the heat at the track since it was quite a bit of work to get them done.

Thanks! I bought my car 4 years ago that's when I saw them the first time. They definitely follow the lines of the turbo twists and clearly a match for this car.
