Reliability? There are guys out there like Buddy and others that are bolting on 700+hp modifications. I don't think that a tuning chip will dramatically reduce your reliability, just make the car run better. Like I posted before, I'm not a guy that stands on the throttle all day.

I wasn't being critical. It's just an obvious concern when you're taking a car that's already tuned by the factory to run hard and beefing it up further.

I'm all for the chip. I am glad to hear it gave your car a substantial increase.

No offense taken. Having lived in Lawton during my High School days, I have fond memories of the long, long smooth roads in Oklahoma. Not to mention the twisties in the back country and reservations. Great place to own a Porsche. I'm constantly surrounded by about 17MM people where I live. And they all HAVE to be in left lane doing 65mph!!

Yeah it's great when you can get out of town and really run the car here. I live in Tulsa and the roads are horrible. I am having second thoughts of putting pss9's and HRE's on because of this. I will ultimately do it anyway, but I wish the city would stop half assing their road construction.

Buddy,
Yep, saw the Beast. The last time I saw it, you were just pulling up from MI to do the Stage 5. I was doing my PSS9s there at the same time. Sorry you are experiencing the ups and downs. I'm sure that everyone is working hard to make it right be you.

The Chip: The claim is 72hp. I don't believe that for a minute. I'm sure that it added at least 150hp to the car. At least that's how it feels. I can't imagine what a Stage 5 700+hp would feel like.

Dave
Oh yeah I remember you! The motor should be back in the car by next week and I will hopefully be coming out for the Dyno tuning and to drive it home.

If your picking it up in PA, perhaps a small meet should be arranged...KPV, Vipertestarossa and others from the metro area. Would love to meet you and the infamous red beast in person. It can't be much more than 3 hours from me to PES...

Would be great to meet you and see some of my old friends!

Buddy, driving the car home isn't a very good idea, you seem to have a knack for getting in trouble on these kind of road trips, remember?

Hope the car will be back in shape soon.

Ken and Buddy,
I'm game. Let me know when and I'll run out as well. I want to see the Beast in action.

No kidding! Let's just say I will be a very good boy on the
way home and if a police officer wants to pull me over I
will pull over IMMEDIATELY!

Aw come'on Buddy. We all need a new, awesome thread full of police cars, cuffs, jail, M-16s, high speed chases, etc. I think that speak for all of us when I say that we need you to do 145mph through some one-sheriff, one-stoplight town again.

How about taking one for the team?
