Chipped the TT yesterday....
Although I had limited the mods on the TT to PSS9's, you guys are convincing me to come to the Dark Side.
I took the TT over to PES yesterday and they downloaded the GIAC program. 15 minutes later, I'm screaming down the road in a completely different car with a ****-eating grin on my face. This Garrett fellow must be an artist. Not only did the car have an enormous power boost, but the driveability and shear pleasure of driving the car "normally" went up a bunch of notches.
My thanks to Tony and his crew.
By the way, I got a sneak view at their Cayenne S Supercharger project. I was amazed at how much engineering, design, and ingenuity is going into this package (8 months worth to date.) It is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see the dyno on that F'ing beast.

First, the chip: the powerband is much smoother and consistent. There is much, much less turbo lag. Torque is much higher (hence the ****-eating grin.) I'm not a guy that constantly is putting my foot into the floorboard so the driveability and predictability of the car is what impresses me the most. It just drives better!!
Now the Cayenne S Supercharger: First, so we're clear, I'm not the PES marketing arm. However, I've had their G2 supercharger package on my Audi A4 for 95k miles without as much as a hiccup. 'Nuf said. They are engineering a unique solution to the S. It is an intercooled, bolt-on supercharger package that sits backwards. I saw a production cast of the intake. It is awesome and has the intercooler built right into it. So don't expect some ****ty-looking hack job. It's going to be niiiice.
I'm not sure how much that thing is going to cost, but with the onslaught of 2-year old Cayenne S' in the market, I'm going to have to consider picking one up and dropping this package in.

congrats. chipping the Turbo is very rewarding and so easy to do. one of the best mods possible.

Any particular reason why you would think this? My daddy-sport wagon has a small 2.8L 5V engine stock with a supercharger strapped to it. Never had a problem. Besides, they've been using superchargers for decades.

Buddy,
Yep, saw the Beast. The last time I saw it, you were just pulling up from MI to do the Stage 5. I was doing my PSS9s there at the same time. Sorry you are experiencing the ups and downs. I'm sure that everyone is working hard to make it right be you.
The Chip: The claim is 72hp. I don't believe that for a minute. I'm sure that it added at least 150hp to the car.
At least that's how it feels. I can't imagine what a Stage 5 700+hp would feel like.

Sorry, forgot to answer your second question. The cost is 2 bucks, big ones. But well worth it in my opinion. No matter which shop does it.
