O2 Sensors

I am about to swap my exhaust and wondered if anyone had any PEARLS of wisdom to removing and reinstalling the O2 sensors from the engine compartment and back and getting them back into there clips.
Thanks

easy to un clip the sensors. the one on the right has a push tab. just push the tab in and pull it apart. the other one has a gray lever. pull that gray lever open and pull apart. i found it was easier to disconnect the sensors up top, fish the wires down, then remove the cat with the sensors intact. that way you can remove the sensors from the cat on a work bench instead under the car with limited space.

note my "cats" may look different as I use cat bypass pipes.

^^^ I found that to be the best way as well. When reinstalling the exhaust use wire coat hangers to fish the wires back up through the engine compartment. Most oz the clips are easy to get the wires back in. A few will try your patients.

+1 yep do this. It's a royal pitb to try to attach the sensors after the exhaust is on with sensor cables connected. However, be gentle if you install the sensors on the exhaust and then mount the exhaust on the car.
