Newbie here!!
Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself since I'm the newbie here. I've owned AMGs and Ms in the pass but the 911 turbo had recently caught my eyes. I'm been lurking around in this forum searching for information about my "future supercar". I came across a salvage 2001 911 turbo silver with 30K miles to date locating in Glendale, California a few days ago on Autotrader. Seller is asking for $34K but I told him that I'm willing to give him $26K cash with his car condition (no low balling intended). Yesterday, I did a few searches through the internet and found pictures of his car auction in California salvage yard in May of this year. Do you guys think $26K is a little too low or too high? Anyhow, I'm looking forward to learn and share my experiences with you guys/gals in the upcoming year!
Thanks,
Mike

The motor is probably worth buying the car. Why is it a salvage title? What do you have to fix to make it safe and drivable?
If you're going to keep it in the end it's all up to you. If you ever plan on selling or trading it then you need to consider that in your price.

If its been fixed correctly and the fact at resale you don't mind getting knocked hard for a salvaged title or having it for sale for a long time to find the right buyer, then get it.
Thank you guys for your input. Is $34K fair? or is he asking for a bit much considering it is a salvage vehicle?
SAMOTT: Hopefully you can help me out if I decide to buy the vehicle next week or so. My knowledge base about porsche is very limited...for now though :-) Thank you in advance!

Got to ask hit pretty hard in he front but no airbag deployment? Look at my avatar that was my first turbo it too got written off. My damage looks slight in comparison but I had both airbags go off. (sucked big time) Maybe it's how it was hit but just surprised.
Good luck I love these cars.
