Bigger Meats

they look like they fit Michael...did you shift the offsets (backspace) 1/4 inch for the 1/2 in larger wheels?

If you really want "grip" try Dunlop Front. 265/650R18 and Rear 315/690R18. Not recommended for the street.

Absolutely correct .. it's a 1/4" offset.

Chad, how is the tire life on those? I seem to get 3 track sessions out of setof MPSCs + the commute. For sure i'll give them a try though next time.

I am gonna be up there later this month. Hey, I just got your PM from March. We can just setup something next weekend, I am pretty much done modding for a month or two.

Khalid, HRE custom designed these for me (they are about 20 minutes away) so I don't know what the offsets are, but I am guessing they are exactly the same as the GT3 cup.

what is the max neg camber up front? seems like it would be very limited due to the larger tire and wheel offsets would rub on the front strut. Another words, are you sacrificing neg camber adjustments to accomodate wider rubber/wheel? Or can you still get the same neg camber with the wider combo?

Just shot you my email and phone info via PM, let me know if you didn't get it; sometimes the PM's aren't so reliable.

HRE Comps

Michael,

The wheels look fantastic. Especially since I'm obviously partial to white cars. What other cup car mods have you done or plan? There was mentioned on the other board that you are reducing weight 300-400lbs? Do you really believe you could set up the car to be competitive with a CGT on a road course? I'd be very interested if could share some more insight. My car is still in break-in as I have not had time drive it lately, but I really like what you are doing to your car and want to do the right stuff. I'm in the SD area so maybe we could meet. PM me.

You can get them in 12's if you want and they WILL fit just the same. However the penalty is about 1 lbs per wheel and if you are not running anything wider than 335 the 11.5" seems like a good compromise. With the GT2 you can run the 345 on the rear if you like.
