What are the indications when the limited slip differential is having problems?

 

do you have a lsd? which one?

 

Stock is an "open" type

 

The car will start to handle strange and unpredictable. Torque bias is different tho..

 

I also have a stock LSD on my 11 RS. I don't notice anything just yet. But I was reading somwhere to raise one rear tire, while the car is in neutral and no e-brake on. If the you can move the wheel easly the lsd is shot. And thats what I have. But now that you say "open type"...i'm wondering if it is shot. Any suggestions?

 

That is not always the case.. There is a brake away torque but it is easy to overcome with the leverage you get from the wheel alone.. There is a thread about it from GT some where..

Holy crap is that a lot of info. I'm gonna call Matt and also Orbit Racing here in Florids in the morning. Off hand I'm told that the stock lsd last between 3-4 track days, do you know if the same deal applies after its rebuilt?

 

No it will last longer. Matt has that $hit dialed in.
