I can definitely explain the differences between the 18" and 19" barrels.

Forgestar recently released a 19" Porsche specific F14 that is hubcentric, and accepts the OEM centercaps and lug nuts.
Their 18" wheel however is still their older styled barrel which requires a hubcentric ring, accepts only the Forgestar cap, and requires a lub bolt with a smaller head.

Currently, the 18" is only available in 18x9 and 18x12" fitments.

Both wheels work the same on the Porsche, the 19"s are just a more specific fitment available in Brushed Titanium and in some cases available without a 6-8 week manufacturing time!

Anyone interested in a set, do not hesitate to contact me at 714.582.3330 x8005.

Best Regards,
Jason@ModBargains.com

thanks for this clarification. does this mean that the 18's you have in 18-9 and 18-12 ARE hubcentric? and will bolt on and use a 19 mm bolt. and the non hubcentric uses the smaller 17mm?

re-reading it seems all the 18's are NOT hubcentric. whew. new year, slow on comprehension skills. lol.

So the 18's that come in 18x9 and 18x12. Do they require spacers? Will they rub on a stock suspension?

Can you get them in bright silver

Brushed Titanium on a Seal Gray car (for me) seems too matchy matchy

I have a set that I ordered directly from Forgestar over a year ago...they are 18x8.5 and 18x11 with no spacers. Don't recall the offset off the top of my head. But they do require a little aluminum ring and special bolts. They are very light weight and have held up awesome. Run OEM size tires now after having tried 19"s and wider 18"s and finally came to the conclusion zat z germans knew what they were doing with these tire sizes on zis car.... I love the way the car feels with light weight 18"s and R compound oem sized tires. So much better than the 19's and wider 18's, they had it correct from the factory. Can't deny the handling performance of a Ferrari 458 and look at what size tires it runs...

Not as matchy matchy as a seal grey wheel on a seal grey car . Here's a picture I just posted up in case you're interested.

Forgestar wheels are custom made for each application, so they can definitely make you a set without any spacers and with no rubbing.

Give me a call at 714.582.3330 x8005 and we can go through a few options.

We have made dozens of sets in the last year for Porsches - we are your definite source for these and can clear up any confusion there is.

We have asked Forgestar for months to develop a wheel that was specific to the Porsche market as you guys demand higher quality and are willing to pay a little bit more for a much higher quality product.

The F14 19" Porsche specific are available in narrow body and wide body fitments in 19x8.5 and 19x11 only. They re-use Porsche center caps, Porsche lug bolts and are hubcentric. It's about as bolt-on of a wheel as you can get.

18" sets are still readily available and we can currently cut a 18x9 18x12 set anytime, however it will require new lug bolts, hubcentric rings (which we provide free of charge) and will use only the Forgestar centercaps.

We are pushing them into developing a Porsche specific 18" application as well - but currently you need to order the regular Forgestar versions of the 18" application.
