Chris,
I will nail these guys down and we will either commit to the July set or October set. Personally I prefer October.

I am with you for October PDA @ The Glen.

really. I will be buying a helmet shortly. I plan to show up for one the NNJPCA autocross events at the Meadowlands this summer. Apparently, you just show up and pay on the day of the event. It would be a good place for me to safely throw the car around to get a better feel for it's corning grip potential...

Chris,

I take it you have never done a track event? If not look out it is as addicting as modifying your Porsche. Once you do your first track event you will crave more! It rocks!

Yes, track virgin here. As far as addiction, you are probably right. I have addictive tendancies...

Come up North

You NE guys should consider coming up to a PCA event in Montreal... we have a kick *** track (former F1 track) Circuit Mont-Tremblant and a bunch of cars - usually 10+ GT3s (every TT even GT2 guys switched over), 2-3 GT2s and a bunch of Porche Cup cars, prototypes ect... and the intructors (if needed) are top notch (whenever I want I get my instructor, who happens to be current North American Champ of Ferrari Challenge, for example)... really high caliber track guys and very open to lower experienced drivers.

We got 8 3-day events spread throughout the summer usually Mon-Wed (most guys need to spend weekends with wives)... there are also a bunch of open track days potentially (tougher to get a lot of you in) with a bunch of P, F, L- cars of all types and the track owner sometimes strolls by with a McLaren. This would be tougher to set up.

Anyways, just a thought, plus score the preceding weekend in Mtl...

If any of you are coming for the F1 GP (june 12), we have an event the following day, mon-wed.

cheers

mg

I knew there was a reason that I loved Canada other than their French-speaking women......

MG,
Can you give us a list of dates for the PCA events. Got a link? Are they filled?

Not sure I will do 3 days...most likely I will do Saturday, Sunday. I will go to the PDA site when I get home to review the options and let you know.

makes sense. I need enough rubber and brakes to make the 4 hr drive home. I will review the PDA site and get in touch with you. If two days, I will need a hotel for one night...

Dave,

Here is the link with the dates... as to availability I know some aug dates are over-booked and I can always lob in a call to see if we can do a little goodwill for you southerners... the biggest problem would be the number of greens vs. the number of instructors... usually mid-level run groups are a little open.

two extra late summer dates are planned in aug and sept but not yet on the site (last website update in february... volunteer work, what are you gonna do).

the events are DE or CCA events in case some of the French throws you off... by the way, everything here is done in english so no worries... except the ladies are still french...

Marco,
Thanks for the update. I'll look into the ladies, er I mean the dates and advise.

Ken,
I've signed up for PDA. Need to clear with the CFO since close to anniversary. The last time I dragged her up to the Finger Lakes under the guise of "a nice family weekend" (while I spent two days at the track with the CVPCA) she wasn't too happy. Will advise, but high prob that I'll be there for at least Friday and maybe Sat.

Dave
