We need a NE Track Day!!!

All of this talk of mods, horsepower, intakes, shifters, and the like is driving me crazy. Not to mention that it is 70+ and sunny today at the Shore.

Do any of you know of an upcoming track day that where we could meet for some fun? Preferably, this would be a track day where there would be some space left for some 6speed members to join in on.

Anyone?.....Anyone?......Bueller?.....

Anyone Game?

It was tried last year...lotsa talk and that's about it....No one would commit to a 6speed meet. KPV and P-Babe spent quite a bit of time organizing it to no avail...frown

I remember that Ken tried to get together a bunch of folks for a PDA event. Did that not go over well?

We had a blast at Watkins Glen.

Here is a recap with pictures...........

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ighlight=moton

I would be very willing to try this again, but it would require three things to make me commit.....
  1. Rockitman must commit to going and putting his GT3 on the track. I will personally instruct him if he deisres.
  2. Vipertestarossa must commit to going.
  3. Dave must commit to going.

My recommendation would be Watkins Glen on July 18 or 19.

If you guys will commit, I will make the arrangements and get things going.

So boys, ready to put your money where your mouths are???

Notes………..
  • I hate Turn 1
  • I love 2 through 5
  • Major drifting and throttle steering at Turn 7
  • Lot of off tracking between 8 and 9

Ken. Thanks for rising to the occasion. I love the Glen more than any track. Unfortunately, I'll be in Alaska from 7/8-7/21 for my only vacation this year. Can we do this sooner? Anywhere?

We could do the only Pocono event that makes it worthwhile in our cars in my opinion. The Long course. Those dates are August 19, 20 and 21.

Frankly, however, I would prefer to wait for the Watkins Glen on October 7, 8 and 9.

Cold pavement but less stress on the cars.

KPV, can't wait to see you guys at the glen, I've already done three track days, where were you guys?
I did LRP in April, WG on May2,3. They've made some changes at the glen, you'll like it, gravel is gone from 1.
PDA has another event at WG Oct 789, I'm signed up for several PCA metro DE's (LRP, Pocono, WG6-1).
Chris
PS I'll remember to bring my tools again! Whatever happened to James and his SC?
Dave, check out metro pca, 6/1-2 WG, Pocono 7/8, LRP 8/19
PDA and scda have several other events inbtwn. www.pdadrivingschool.com and www.scda1.com

Chris,
I will nail these guys down and we will either commit to the July set or October set. Personally I prefer October.

I was supposed to be there for May 2,3 but I have been sorting out some performance issues.

I also track the bike and I have two days set up for that as well, both at Pocono.

I would rec pda at the glen in october, better for 6 speeders, a little 'looser', metropca tends to sell out fast and be a little ****.
