JRZ Coilovers - Broken Spring
JRZ Coilovers - Broken Spring
Just found out that one of the rear springs on the coilovers has snapped.
How hard are the replacement springs to come by? Never had a broken spring before and thought JRZ's were meant to be of good quality?
Looks like the car will be laid up for a while

Should not be hard to get a replacement. Change both rear springs thought and I would even change the fronts too. All you need is the coil ID, height, lbs (650llbs) and rate (straight or progressive). I am unsure of the sizes on jrz but someone will know.
I got my replacement springs from Swift. They sell by length/diameter/stiffness, as Tim said. Replacing the rears is pretty easy. Fronts, not so much. Make a note of where the adjusters were set on the old ones to get the ride height approximately the same.

How many miles on springs? That`s the key driver for replacing all or just one. Try contacting JRZ...worst they can say is "no"

We do not manufacture springs and to my knowledge, haven't done so in the past. Regardless, a failure of a part on our product is still of concern.
Could you send me an email with pictures of the failed spring?

Correct, the spring is integrated in a coilover damper system. However, that is not a part that we make. The spring is generally sourced 3rd party by ourselves or our dealers and installed on the damper system.
Edit: I cannot spend PMs, apparently I do not have enough posts. Would someone mind sending him one on my behalf with the email address I posted?

Thanks all, have contacted the European JRZ rep Erik who said the springs are made by Eibach and should be easy enough to source. Will be taking a look at the spring today for part numbers so will take pics.
Pics taken.
No part numbers found, coilovers still on car but used a mirror to check the back of springs.
The only part number is on the black plastic collar near the helper spring: ZT - 1 - X002A01
