My guess is one of the two Variocam brackets is broken. They tend to break right at the edge of the mounting screw making it hard to spot when the plugs are being changed. Brackets are around $15 or so from Sunset although labor is like replacing the plugs.

after getting the new turbos fitted, and all new boost hoses and injectors and 1 bar actuators and new coils etc i was confident the issue would of gone...

Uploaded the map and went for a drive but the issue still remained

i put my old maf in which i suspected was faulty all those months ago and bingo ! the problem went away !! v strange
