Help! Bad slave cylinder

Hey guys, I've ran into some issues with the car just two weeks before TX2k, and I'd like to get it fixed asap.

We had about a foot of snow here in cleveland this weekend, so after having some fun doing some donuts in a parking lot, I notice my clutch pedal is acting funny. I coulnt not get clutch to release, so i had to turn off the engine and start in first gear, and shift without the clutch, the problem releaved itself shortly after. Next day more donuts, same problem. Shortly after I do a 2nd gear pull and shortly after my clutch is releasing right at the top and the pedal is pulsating and slipping terribly. I dont think the clutch is shot.

Does this sound like a Slave cylinder to you guys? easy fix?

green snow usually means something other than leaking pentosin. but if your slave is shot, i imagine there's green snow under your car.

Have you checked the Pentosin level? If that is OK you may want to remove the access cover on the transmission and look see if the slave rod is moving when the pedal is pressed. If it is not moving it is something to do with the slave system. If it moves OK then its a clutch.

One of those inspection cameras from HF is very helpful for the look see.

I'm planning on starting with the clutch accumulator.

Just do the GT2 conversion, you will never regret it. FYI Steinels has done several. They redid my trans a few years ago (sycnro, bearings ect.) and did a great job. Good luck!

+1 for GT2 conversion. It will help you launch the car much more consistently if that's something you'd be interested in, too.

Just changed mine today. In addition to the usual symptoms I also had a slow leak of pentosin from underneath the PS reservoir. Replacing the accumulator *seems* to have cured it. A bad accumulator apparently puts undue stress on the slave also.

I may end up doing the gt2 conversion as I'm on my 3rd accumulator, but not until I need a clutch. As for now, the 125$ part isn't a big deal and I actually like the stock assisted clutch feel. Flame away ha.
