I wouldn't trust anyone in the Houston area to know what a high performance car is...land of the slow cars...

Ajay,

I can personally vouch for Ben as I have purchased two vehicles from him in the past (e30 m3 and 08 Hartge x5). He was extremely honest about both vehicles and bth were priced very very well (don't tell him I said that ).

Not only that, his car is maintained by Steve who runs the service department at DriverSource, which I would argue is the shop of choice for many Houston Porsche owners. All that to say, you're looking at a solid car from a solid seller. I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from Ben. In fact, I'm waiting for him to buy a gallardo and sell it to me when he's done modding it

Edwin

Bens car has the full Proto Monty (well except for maybe larger injectors) and has not put all that many miles on her since the upgrade.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. It's greatly appreciated. Ajay, you've got mail. I've tried to cover everything as much as possible and any gaps will be filled tomorrow.

Thanks.

Just curious about the comment about avoiding high mileage 996TT. I've read mostly positives about their ability to run forever.

I bought mine three years ago at 54K miles, specifically due to it being cheaper. I'm up to 80K with nothing more than typical repairs (alternator, light switch, brake switch).

Thrilled with mine!

But would you buy one with 80k, 70k? And what's high mileage? Is it based on miles/year or total miles? I personally would rather have an 02 with 30k miles than an 09 80k miles. To me it's more about miles/year but at some point this goes out the window! I just couldn't bring myself to buy a $30-$35000 car with 60-70k miles especially when the common repairs can be 10% of the cars value. It's personal preference followed by personal income!

My comment was more in relation to Tips. I'm not sure of a single tip that has been modified to some extent that hasn't needed to be "built". From what i've discussed with Ajay I don't think he plans on having a stock Porsche for very long. Maybe it's just the Houston guys that have had the bad luck with Tips.
