Removing Cylinder Heads - How Big a Job Is It?
Removing Cylinder Heads - How Big a Job Is It?
If my luck keeps going like it has been its only a matter of time before Im left with no option but to take my cylinder heads off
For those that have already gone through this, could you let me know how big a job it is, and what sort of time scales and skill levels should I be expecting?
Is there anything else I should be thinking about before taking on this task?
Thanks everyone

There are a few members that have the tools I bet u could borrow. There was even a group buy in the works for someone who was gonna make the cam tool. But I think it fell through. You could probably get the job done without an engine stand but may be a pita! If you do use engine stand you will have to separate tranny and could do ur clutch! The stand adapter from pelican parts (vs the $500 porsche one) is just fine. I have one that you can rent for a refundable upon return deposit (as they are about $250) and pay shipping both ways if you come to that point. It's not impossible for sure! Getting it apart is easy, it's putting it back together, but you would learn plenty if you take your time and do it right. Might as well pull both heads and do studs, lifters or even rods while you at it if that's in the future.
Flip through the shop manual and that will give you a better idea as to whether u can do it or not than what ul get from the peanut gallery! Plus it will give u an idea of tools ul need, but even that is tricky because some things you don't "really" need the tool for.
