To each their own. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Alcantera looks cheap and inappropriate in a high end car. I've heard numerous times that late model Porsche's had suede headliners then later I found out it was really Alcantera, which I googled. I think it appropriate for a headliner as suede would be hard to clean. I have seen some Alcantera used for seats, door panels steering wheels and such in some very expensive new GT3 RS cars and to me it's an extremely overpriced cheap looking substitute for suede. If it is very, very durable it might work in my Jeep, but I don't want it in my Porsche, thanks.

It looks good on our roof. And that's why Porsche put it there. I would not have it anywhere else.

AR Design is infamous around these parts
In my experience, on steering wheels it does not hold up well. I have an alcantara Momo wheel in my daily, and it is not fairing well.
