FTR, I'm basing my thoughts on pure seat of pants. I'm going to see how I stack up against higher / lower HP cars in 3 weeks time. I'm also going to try and get some baseline 1/4 runs in sometime following the runway shootout. I'd prefer to see get track results before dyno results.

I've heard about you and your setup. Your car was a bit of inspiration for my mini build! So kudos to you. Let's try and catch up at a cars and coffee one of these days.
You need the flywheel balanced with the rotating assembly, or else you really are asking for trouble; an aftermarket crank damper like a fluidampr , etc. might help.
