A couple of quick questions
A couple of quick questions
I know a picture is mandatory so here's my new to me TT 996.
Just delivered today, it's a 2002. I have another post but now that it's here I have some questions. I was pleasantly surprised today about a few options it had that were not in the ad. It has an amazing sound system in it with a real nice back up camera. It's not some cheesy Walmart set up, the head unit is a touch screen double DIN HD Kenwood unit with NAV, bluetooth, I-pod connection in the center console and satellite radio.
The interior is all leather, no plastic, I'm really happy with that. I thought it was going to have black interior, but as it turns out it's blue. A really dark blue. You have to look at it just right to be able to tell it isn't black. It also has a short shifter, painted center console and crests in the seats. I'm guessing these were probably options too. Well, besides the shifter.
There were receipts for an inspection, two new door seals, new batteries in the key fobs, 2 new window lift mechanisms with cables, oil and filter. This was all within the last 800 miles.
The car appears to be lowered a little and have factory wheels.
Why do you guys think there are wheels spacers on all the wheels?
Thanks,
Matt

Great looking car! But where are your questions?
I mean if you really ask if it has spacers I guess you can look at your wheels and see if they are there or not
Oh and you just gave me an idea to move my Ipod/Iphone connecting cable from my glovebox to my center console compartment, would be way easier to reach!
Have fun with your new toy!

Some owners like spacers to make the factory wheels sit more "flush" with the bodywork, since the OEM fitment is inset a bit. Just a preference thing, for the most part.
Cheers,
Allen
Congrats on the new ride. It looks to be lowered and the spacers are only for cosmetics. They give the car a wider more aggressive look. Have fun and thanks for sharing some pictures.

If Polar, the blue interior makes more sense anyway - since Polar has a hint of blue to it, the Metropol would accentuate that a bit. I have Polar over black, but can imagine how Polar over Metropol would look nice.
Regardless, sharp car - enjoy it!
+1 on the metropol blue. With some exterior colors, the blue looks better than the usual black. The metropol blue isn't a cheesy shade either; most people are surprised when you tell them its not really black.
i had the polar silver metallic with the metropol blue leather with matching int parts ( ebrake alum and console painted to match exterior etc ) and it looked expensive relative to the arctic silver over black. albeit a bit "dated". i was also a bit ambivalent about blue carpet.. but hey..
I'm still not sure what the official color of the exterior or interior. I took a picture of the codes under the hood, but they're all faded. Here a couple of pics with the tint getting done today.

Code sticker, going to try to blow it up and read it.
