Could be one of the serpentine belt tensioners. I had one go out that was below the power steering pump. Mine didn't chirp but was rpm related.

Hard to guess. Any possible way to attach a file? That may help. If it is just a chirp, maybe you just have a worn or loose belt. The alt. will drag a bit when the car is first started, in order to get the battery back up to par, then stop when the amp draw decreases. It would help to have a clip.

Why are you driving around in a car making banging and ultra-loud chirping noises? Have it taken to a shop immediately before you cause some serious damage.

Sounds a bit like the polyrib belt tensioner or pulley. Might be a belt slipping but doesn't quite sound right. Wrong pitch and no initial squeal. Part of that may just be the camera's mic...

White "smoke" on start up is typically condensation and nothing to worry about. Happens on a cold start when the ambient temperature is a little cool. Heavy white smoke after warm up is another story...

Wow that's crazy loud! I would open up the engine cover and see if you can pinpoint it. May have to stand up the air box to get access to the pulleys, etc. If it is on the right, that is where the power steering and air pump are as well.

I agree with above, bring it in to the dealer or your indy. Noises that loud are created by something banging /grinding together. No matter what it is, it can't be good to be driving it that way.

I missed the clip. Anyway, I hope it is nothing terrible. Maybe you just have a worn out water pump or A/C compressor or something. The A/C compressor can make some terrible sounds if it is going out. Wish I could have heard the clip. Best wishes.

OK found the clip. The sound is on the Rt. and it is smoking out of the Rt. side. That seems a bit harsh to just be a belt slipping. Sounds more metallic and I think I hear a missing cylinder. I hope I'm all wrong, but please tow it to the shop. Best wishes!

Yup, tow it, sounds terrible! To a good indy....

Could be anything... Spark plug loose? SAI pump headed south? The smoking from one tailpipe would have me worried...

PM me if you want my mechanic in Pasadena's info.
