Best Buck Wheels
agreed, they're that kinda wheel.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed by people who preach expensive stuff just because it's expensive it doesn't mean it's made by God! Yet that same person will buy a lesser quality exhaust and not the super expensive stuff LOL
OZ wheels are great but come in weird sizes and offsets for a 996tt.
Forgestar wheels are aka IForged wheels.
CCW seem to work great plus John, owner, is a great guy and always willing to work with you.

But I also hate it when people like nothing better than plugging the most expensive of anything. I get it. You only buy the most prestigious products. KEEP THE THREAD ON TOPIC AND STOP JUSTIFYING YOUR EXPENSIVE PURCHASES!!! But I do the best I can to refrain from commenting when it happens. Except for this post

Not true, there are plenty of expensive wheels that break easily.
Forgestars are neither heavy nor flimsy.
I put wheels through the ringer and oddly enough the only wheel I've cracked is one of the most expensive ones (CCW). I have a $500 set of BSA wheels that have lasted forever and taken a straight beating, don't even need to balance them to drive them on the track. My Forgestars are great too, only a couple of events on them though.

I've gone through lots of different wheels too, and I've arrived at the point where I think the value for money of most mid-priced wheels is the best option. I run a half dozen different kinds of wheels of all types on my cars, from $9000 HREs to $1200 sets of Enkeis, to several others.
My comment on cheaper wheels not being a good option and being weak was really directed to the OP's comment that he was hoping to spend $1000 on a set. On a Turbo unless you find a really great deal on used wheels, any new wheel at that price point isn't something I'd put on one of our cars.

Can anyone tell me if there is a site that could help me complete changing my Rotors and Brake pads on my 2000 911 (996)? I have watched Youtube videos and it helped a lot, but the brake pads seemed stuck. They move but can't pull them out. New to this - help needed! Thanx in Advance.
My brother has a set of Forgestars for his E55. They look pretty good. I would definitely consider getting a set. The Avant Gardes don't look too bad either. Plenty of good choices in that range.

I didn't say that all expensive wheels are great quality. There are vastly more cheap wheels out there than expensive, and in general, more expensive wheels are stronger and lighter than their cheaper counterparts.

I have in the past researched before buying and found good wheels that were cheaper and stood up to the abuse I have thrown at them. For the price delta of wheels with the 996TT it does not make sense to purchase on price alone. And the cheaper wheels are not all created equal. Anyone buying wheels should do their homework. Even if they are buying $5k wheels. Selection of wheels should be determined by quality and intended use alone IMHO.
Has anybody ever had a problem with Forgestar rims? If you really like the rims 6 weeks will be here before you know it - or I have a spare set I could sell you now
They are a great value,
They are a great value,
