If you're launching that hard get the Wevo semi solids and a tranny mount with derlin inserts.

This is a result of 2 launches, come one man were these used before and how old are they? This doesn't add up.

Agreed. I've seen these mounts take abuse.

There is a sequence of nuts, spacers and such that has to be installed correctly. Maybe that was the issue. I also have given those a beatin' on my 993 and 996. Wierd S@#% happens all the time though.

They are tricky. Those parts also have top and bottom. Cool mounts though.

So... the failure was due to installation error, then?

Sambo's pics are from a 993 turbo. It's engine carrier and chassis are different from 996's. IMO independent of the type of mounts used on 996 turbo/GT3 OEM spacers are required between the mounts and chassis. Otherwise the engine will sit too low.

Thanks Pete. Couldn't find pics in a 996. They do sit on the spacer in a 996+. If the washers are installed properly they work fine. 993 996 and 997 mounts are the same.
Look here for ref.
